Barney & Feif have been my joy and despair. The lady I got them from lied to me and told me they had been born at her home and handled. The truth was, they were born feral and hardly handled at all. They don’t like to be picked up and cuddled or sit in your lap.

They are getting better though in some respects. Barney now likes to be petted and will lean into your hand when petting him. Feif is very skittish about being touched on her head but doesn’t mind her back and tail being stroked. Both of them still have to be ambushed to pick them up, but will sit still for about a minute.

Most people cannot tell them apart face on. It is easy if you know what to look for. Barney’s white mark on his face ends in a sharp point. Feif’s is rounded. Barney also has a white tip on his tail.

Barney is the most photogenic cat I have ever seen. I think it is because his face markings are very symmetrical. You cannot take a bad picture of Barney. He seems to know when his picture is being taken and puts on what I call his movie star look.

Feif is a cutie, but no where near as photogenic as Barney. She is the vocal one of the two. Always talking and has an opinion on everything! She is a lot more curious than Barney as well. When she was little she used to love to watch tv.

When weather permits you will usually find Feif on the Kitty Veranda.

They turned 3 years this past December. I just wish they were more cuddly.
